REGULATIONS
of World Youth Team Championship 2010 in International
Draughts
1. Purpose of Championship
- establishment of friendly relations between sportsmen of different countries
of the world;
- selection of the strongest team of the world.
2. Management of Championship
General management of the competitions is carried out by Ministry of Ukraine
for Family, Youth and Sports; Draughts Federation of Ukraine; Dnipropetrovsk
Regional Council; Regional State Administration and World Draughts Federation
(FMJD).
Direct management of the competitions is carried of by Organizing committee and
Referee's board approved by executive committee of Dniprodzerzhynsk City
Council.
3. Dates and Venue
The competition will take place from June 29 to July 05, 2010 in the
city of Dniprodzerzhynsk, Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine in hotel
"Olympia”, the address is as follows: Prospekt Anoshkina 105, (if you arrive at
railway or bus station take minibus No 11 (the fare is 1.25 UAH) or street car
No 2 (the fare is 1 UAH) to the stop "DMK” (route terminal) then take minibus
No 3 or 22-a or 23-a (the fare is 1.5 UAH) or street car No 3 (the fare is 1
UAH) to the stop "Hotel Olympia”. (The UAH exchange rate on 04.07.09: 1 EUR =
11.150 UAH)
The day of arrival and registration of participants of the competition at the
hotel "Olympia” is June 28, 2010. Your destination is 50km away from
Dnipropetrovsk airport and 3km away from Dniprodzerzhynsk railway or bus
stations. If you inform us about the date and time of your arrival in
Dnipropetrovsk, the Organizing committee will provide a minibus to meet you at
the airport. You can also reach the venue from "Borispol” airport in Kyiv.
There is a bus running to Dniprodzerzhynsk bus station every 1 or 2 hours (the
traveling time is 6 hours) or you can also take a flight Kyiv-Dnipropetrovsk
(flight time is 40 minutes). For reference use, twice a day "Austrian Airlines”
airplanes with a change at Vienna arrive in Dnipropetrovsk airport.
The opening ceremony of competition will take place on June 29, 2010 at 12.00
h.
Round I: June 29, 2010 at 15.00 h.
The departure of the participants: July 05, 2010
4. Participants of competition
A team taking part in World Team Championship 2010 in International Draughts
may include 3 participants: a junior (a young person up to 19 years old); a
cadet (a young person up to 16 years old) and a minicadet (a young person up to
13 years old).
A federation of any country can send 3 teams to the competition.
5. Admission Requirements
Sports delegations of draughts federations are to apply for admission for
participation in the Championship to Organizing committee in the city of
Dniprodzerzhynsk and inform them about the number of proposed teams. The
deadline for application is May 29, 2010.
Ukrainian party furnishes funds for catering and accommodation for 3 members of
one team of each federation, representative of FMJD and Chief referee of the
competition. Other teams of federations as well as accompanying persons are
supposed to pay 300 UAH (≈ 28 EUR) a day per one person for catering and
accommodation at the hotel.
The fee for participation in competition corresponds to the requirements of
FMJD. The starting fee for participation in unofficial World Team Quick-Game
Championship is 5 EUR for each participant of the competition.
We will provide an interpreter to/from English and French for each team, the
interpreters will accompany members of delegations during the entire tournament
as well as in their free time.
6. Championship Schedule and Awarding Ceremony
Championship is conducted according to the competition procedure approved by
Chief referee prior to the beginning of the Round I.
The winners are awarded diplomas and medals of World Draughts Federation
(FMJD). The organizers of the competition present the winning teams with cups
and diplomas while individual winners are awarded trophies, diplomas and
presents.
During the tournament the participants and members of delegations will be able
to visit one of the Europe’s best swimming pools, weight rooms and gyms free of
charge.
7. Expenses
The funds for transportation, referee’s board, cups, prizes and presents,
Championship medals, posters, draughts boards, draughts, chess-clocks, record
sheets, stationary etc will be furnished by the organization managing the
competition.
